Beth
Business Development Manager
Beth has been with the Success Centre from
the very beginning, bringing her extensive
experience in education settings to support
our learners and families. She holds a Level
3 Award in Education and Training and is
currently working towards her Level 5
Manager’s Certificate, further strengthening
her skills in leading and coordinating our
provision.
A major influencer in providing advice and
guidance on alternative routes into
successful career roles, Beth is passionate
about helping young people and adults
discover opportunities beyond the
traditional pathways. She plays a key role in
organising sessions, supporting tutors, and
ensuring families receive the guidance they
need. Her warm, approachable nature and
commitment to every learner make her an
invaluable part of the Success Centre team.
Darren
Managing Director
Darren’s own school experience shaped his
passion for education. With the help of private tutoring, he overcame early challenges to achieve the School’s Endeavour Award – but also saw first hand how costly tuition can be for families.
Since then, Darren has built a career dedicated to making learning accessible. After gaining qualifications in ICT, Business Management, a PGCE, and a Master’s in Education, he’s worked as a freelance trainer, supply teacher, and with
vulnerable children in care.
In 2023, Darren founded the Success Centre with a mission to provide aAordable, high-quality tuition for all. Today, he leads with the same determination that carried him through his own learning journey, helping children across East Yorkshire grow in confidence, skills, and ambition.
Maria
Home Education Manager
Maria joins us with a strong background in
teaching, having previously delivered
electrical engineering at a local college. She
now leads our home education programme,
planning and delivering engaging English and maths sessions, as well as personalised one to-one tuition.
Friendly and approachable, Maria supports
learners across Hornsea, Bridlington, Hull,
and Beverley, ensuring every child – including those with SEND or EHCPs – feels included and confident. She also works closely with parents, oAering guidance and practical advice to help learning at home run smoothly.
With her experience, warmth, and
commitment, Maria helps make the Success Centre a welcoming place for every family.
